Technical Description

The LA County CVA (Climate Vulnerability Assessment) categorizes Extreme Heat Risk for communities that are both exposed to, and at high social risk of the impacts of, extreme heat. These take into account the projected average and high temperatures as well as indicators such as ER hospitalization rates due to extreme heat exposure and other demographic and social risk factors.
